Advocacy Manager

Tara’s responsibility as an advocate is to help our community members get access to the support and services they need. She advocates for people who are victims of crime, seeking LGBTQ-friendly resources, struggling with housing issues, and much more. She also supervises the other Advocacy staff.

Tara is an African American graduate of The Evergreen State College, Tacoma, Washington. She has spent the last four years strongly cultivating her passion for community activism. She has served terms as Board Member and Chairperson for the Services and Activities Fee Allocation Board of The Evergreen State College, and Intern and Program Assistant for the Rainbow Center. She is dedicated to advocating for her community around social justice, environmental racism, LGBTQIA rights, and the Black Lives Matter movement. She is ecstatic about her role at the Rainbow Center as the Community Advocacy Coordinator and is eager to connect.
