Joni (she/her) is a dedicated and passionate advocate of community based movements of queer change and activism, who strives to make the world a better place than she has found it. From the south, but living all over the nation and world she has seen and experienced both the good and bad the world offers, and strives to put make the world a better place so that others do not have to experience what she has. 

Having volunteered and worked throughout her youth and career, she understands the nuance that change does not come in a day, but requires that first step forward everyday. She aims to bring her dedication, commitment, organizational skills, and her background and experience both in activism both in the queer community and in other areas to drive her to work at the Rainbow Center to give back to the community that has welcomed her so thoroughly since she came to the Tacoma area. An area where she finally feels she can call home, since being uprooted most of her life.
