What do we do?
Rainbow Center offers a variety of social program events for the LGBTQ community and affinity groups within the community, Go to Community Programs for more details.
RC also has advocates on-site to support victims of crime or those in need. If you or someone you know would like to meet with one of our advocates, go to Advocacy and make an appointment.
Rainbow Center offers high-quality educational opportunities for individuals, businesses or groups that want to know more about how to engage, support, serve and increase their awareness/understanding of the LGBTQ community. Go to Education to find out more!
Celebrating the LGBTQ community is a huge part of our mission, and Rainbow Center is proud to host the two most amazing celebrations in the city!
- Tacoma PrideTM– Rainbow Center hosts Tacoma’s annual queer pride celebration as an all day, free event with entertainment for all ages, vendors, activities, and a chance to show your pride. Held every year on the 2nd Saturday in July. Go to www.tacomapride.org for more on this and all the official events celebrating Tacoma’s LGBTQ pride!
- Black & White Gayla – Pull out all the stops for the greatest LGBTQ party of the year. The annual Black & White Gayla is our opportunity to show off our finery, let our hair down and celebrate the achievements of the past year. Eat, drink, dance, be merry and show your support for RC by coming to the Black & White Gayla!
