RC Late Nights: Know Your Rights

May 17, 2017 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

Join the Rainbow Center as we present and discuss rights granted to all people in the U.S. — regardless of immigration status — with an emphasis on legal rights when stopped by the police and other agents of enforcement.

While we understand that knowing one’s rights may not save lives that are unjustly ended or forever changed by the disproportionate policing and profiling of marginalized communities, we hope to start conversations and raise awareness about some ways to approach these potentially hostile, aggressive, accusatory, invasive, and violent interactions.

About RC Late Nights

Each week on Wednesday we have a new night of programming at the RC. Presentations, classes, arts & crafts, discussions, field trips, and more! Join us, you might learn something new!

If you anticipate needing any type of accommodation, please contact the Rainbow Center at (253) 383-2318 or by email at info@rainbowcntr.org in advance.

The Rainbow Center is wheelchair accessible and offers all-gender, single-stall restrooms.
