Community Programs

The Rainbow Center offers weekly, monthly, and annual programs and events that provide education, advocacy, and celebration about and for the LGBTQA+ community in the Pacific Northwest. Find detailed information below about each program, and check out our Events Calendar to see what programs are coming up.

The Rainbow Center is open to the community Monday through Friday from 1:00 – 5:00PM, and from 1:00 – 7:00PM on Wednesdays for weekly community programs. Browse our library, cook a meal in our community kitchen, and get connected to local resources with the help of our on-staff advocates.

The Rainbow Center invites LGBTQ+ community members age 50+ to join us for a monthly gathering every third Friday of the month from 11:00AM – 1:00PM. We’ll provide a healthy lunch and a topic or presentation if you’ll provide us with your company!

The Rainbow Center plans programming throughout the year specifically for the QTIPOC community. We recognize the unique needs of QTIPOC people, so our goal is to provide a safe space for QTIPOC to socialize and thrive in the South Sound. Check out our calendar for current events.

The Rainbow Center implements programs that celebrates and educates the transgender and gender non-conforming communities in the South Sound. Our events focus on topics like reproductive rights and more. Check out our calendar for current events.

The Rainbow Center has additional programs and events throughout the year, such as our annual Coming Out Day Open House, Home for the Holidays community potluck, and seasonal events that recognize and celebrate the many identities and experiences of the LGBTQ+ community.
