Dear Fabulous Everyone,

Hooray!  Because of your efforts, time, energy, savvy and grace, lastnight was a wonderful success!

Our count last night (that will be confirmed tomorrow) is that we greatly surpassed our goal of $30,000 net profit for the night. This is more $$ than the
Gayla has ever made!  Quite amazing...

A few highlights off the top of my head:
-We received a match of another $3000 in addition to Dr. Kaufman's generous $3000.  Thank you!
-The scooters far exceeded retail price, and people thought it was oh so cool that we had TWO to give away!
-Registration and check-out was a remarkable process that Robin and KJ led  with tenacity and organizational genius.
-We sold about 82 Golden Tickets thanks to our GT crew!  (And yes, about 10 of them went to Greg Byler...)
-I received so many compliments- that I got to redirect-for the effortand sweetness Table Captains put in to dressing their tables.  Well
done!
-Signage, decorations and set-up looked marvelous thanks to the day crew and Athena and Scott's beautification efforts.
-Guests consistently remarked that this was the best Gayla, yet
-and oh so many more fantastic and glorious things to celebrate and appreciate....

I personally am so grateful for everything our volunteers and supporters have done for this event, and on behalf of the Rainbow Center, thank you.

Best,
Oriana

Rainbow Center had two goals for the night of November 10, 2007: make $30,000 for our operating budget, and make sure every guest had a fantastic time. We are pleased to announce we surpassed both goals substantially. Although the numbers aren't completely in yet, we DO know we earned more this year than in any year past.

JeriLynn Vosbergh's sentiments weren't far off from most of what we heard about the night: We thought this was the best Gayla we have been to yet. It . . . made the step up to an up-scale level.  The entertainment this year was EXCELLENT. (Captain Smartypants) added a taste of sophistication to the event, along with everything else. I thought the evening was a huge success and want to applaud everyone who worked so hard to put the event on.  We are looking forward to next year's Gayla.

We heard from so many of our guests claimed they made the night more sophisticated and glamourous. Thank you, gentlemen for your considerable talents.
